Which pets are covered?

We cover dogs and cats of all breeds, including Indian breeds (Indies). Your pet should be between 3 months and 10 years old to enrol.

What is the sum insured?

All our plans offer sum insured options ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹2,00,000. You choose the cover amount that works for your pet and budget.

Do I have to contact HDFC ERGO directly?

Never. That's our core promise. You only ever deal with Furtected. We manage the entire relationship with the insurer on your behalf — for both policy and claims.

How do I make a claim?

Get your pet treated, pay the vet, then WhatsApp us or call 9999999999. We'll send you a secure link to upload your bills. We take it from there and get you reimbursed in 7–10 working days.

Is there a waiting period?

Yes — there is a 30-day waiting period for illness claims from the policy start date. Accidental injury claims are covered from day one.

Are pre-existing conditions covered?

Pre-existing conditions are not covered under any plan. We recommend enrolling your pet while they're young and healthy to maximise the benefit.

When will pricing be available?

Can I renew every year?

Yes, all policies are annual and fully renewable. We'll remind you 30 days before expiry so your pet never has a gap in coverage.
